- I’ve been a nature-lover since the day I was born. With an interpretive naturalist for a father, I grew up sharing my playroom with pet frogs and eating dinner next to terrariums housing snakes and spiders. My love of nature is closely followed by my love of filmmaking and I've been fortunate enough to combine the two into a career as a wildlife filmmaker. After working for the Discovery Networks, (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Science Channel, etc) for several years, I decided to combine my passions for nature, film, and community building to start up NatureBreak.
In my videos, I don’t use any macho antics to try to get animals to look fierce and dangerous. So you probably won’t see any snakes striking or alligator wrastling (is that even a real word?). I try to interfere as little as possible in the lives of the animals I film. Except for the poor botfly...but hey, it was either him or me. I promise you’ll still see really cool video of animals, though! Join the community to be sure you don’t miss any.

- All! But some stand-outs are the black rat snake, black-capped chickadee, swallow-tailed kite, spring peeper

- My new favorite band is Plunkett--they're slogan is "Independent Music for Independent Minds." How could you not love that?!
- Best Outdoor Experience:
- So hard to pick one! My most memorable one has to be getting struck by lightening on Grandfather Mountain in NC. (ask me about that if you're interested. I'm convinced that's where my streak of gray hairs comes from ;) I also had a perfect outdoor moment ocean kayaking in Costa Rica. We were coming back to shore at dusk and every time we'd put the paddle in the water, the bioluminescent organisms would shine.

I love the site! I need to go out with my camera and get some pixs! I love the rattlesnake fight and I have a video of 2 women at Macy's fighting over a pair of socks at the register while Christmas shopping as the PA system way playing Joy to the World. Luv Ya.
