NatureBreak is planning a trip to the Ecuadorean Andes & Amazon. Any advice on places to go/stay? (not Galapagos bound this time)

Vanessa, I highly recommend visiting the Tahuayo Lodge in Peru ( http://www.perujungle.com). It is one of the most remote lodges along the Amazon river and provides the ultimate experience for viewing wildlife. From Iquitos, Peru, you go 50 miles up the Amazon and then another 40 miles up the Tayuayo River. It is situated next to a 800K acre wildlife preserve. I visited there for a week and found it to be a true paradise!
